CTG Podcast S3E4 - MOST New Guns and Optics are DUMB...
Hot takes on products, just in time for SHOT Show...
I was having a conversation via IG about the new Glock...there was a man complaining about the Gen6 trigger guard hurting his poor widdle finger and why it was a terrible feature, they got it wrong, etc...
I looked into the dude...as expected, doesnt train but shoots "regularly" aka stands in a booth at his local bowling alley...i mean indoor range... and just turns money into noise. His expertise should guide Glocks innovation, he thinks... AND THIS IS THE ISSUE.
Your average gun owner is like your average car owner...they are too uneducated to tell you how/why a car is good despite owning them, and the end user shouldnt dictate innovation and performance (outside of user interface). And funny enough, that same level of expertise is often the guys who WORK for these manufacturers...how else do you think sexy ad pictures of girls gripping guns incorrectlky makes it out there- no shooter would allow that lol
Our industry needs to stop letting cubicle-nerds develop and research products that have no real use or need in the end user market. I have a HARD stance now that if you dont regularly train or compete, I DO NOT CARE what you think about guns, optics, ammo, etc. INFLUENCERS- COMPETE/TRAIN OR SHUT UP ABOUT THE NEWEST THING. I DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR HYPE EDIT WITH 10000 JUMP CUTS
