CTG Podcast S3E6 - "This Could've Been an Email..." aka spicy takes on IG Instructors and SHOT Show

I actually recorded this last week but it was more spicy and I didnt want to post it...but enough people asked for it so I re-recorded it and if you can believe it, this is the LESS spicy version lol I guess yall like it when I get mad? LOL Idk Im just a salty Irish dude sitting in the Poconos not IG famous so what do I know? lol. Here I am just focusing on being a Dad and Grandmaster... Buuuut I cant help but hear all this noise and here's my take.

First I really wanted to rant about the level of absolutely baboonery I see coming from the IG Instructors / Influencers (and btw that is a slur to me lol). No one who knows what they're talking about cares that you can do a Low ready bill drill inside of 7yds, all the other professional instructors and shooters are laughing at you. These people are always the guys ALSO using a full sized 2011 in 9mm that is also ported...cool man I have a 9yo student who can do that. With a Rifle?? GET Out of here...

Demos are important, but demoing the harder stuff is more important. Being able to do it cold and at multiple speeds is important. Not for IG reels... MAKE YOUR STUDENTS BETTER. DEMO doesn't mean "ok heres my phone, Im going to do this a bunch of times so I can post a clip to IG" PLEASE JUST GET BETTER AND TEACH THE CLASS.

Then SHOT show...mannnnnn cmonnnnn. Suppressor show let some guns come hang out this year. And none of them new? I dont get it. We've seen these all on IG, in fact a bunch of us have 1000s of rounds on them. There's "influencers" who have videos of them with millions of views already lol Or it seems to turn into an Influencer race to find the most expensive one and prove they can buy it, but not compete with it? ok who cares? I genuinely dont get it lol.
